Role Mission

 

To enable Open Doors to achieve its goal of meeting housing needs for 1000 people each year by ensuring we have seamless systems that allow efficient placement of households in suitable partner properties.

Role Scope

 

Working in conjunction with system users, developers, nonprofit service providers, property management teams, financial contributors, and other interested stakeholders, this role will be responsible for defining and guiding the technology path, product functionality and ensuring the uptake and use of these systems.

 

This role will be based in Open Doors’ corporate headquarters in Atlanta, and will report to the Executive Director. The role will be responsible for general oversight of the content processing and improvement, technical implementation, and organizing task execution related to achieving the outcomes within the Open Doors organization.

Critical Role Outcomes

 

  • Ensure systems improve efficiency by defining and managing ongoing development with our nonprofit partners.
  • In partnership with Executive Director and Board of Directors, lead strategic visioning and planning for technology products.
  • Cultivate existing and develop new sources of pro-bono and low cost design and engineering talent.
  • Implement strategic plan for technology product development.
  • Serve as a liaison between Open Doors and volunteer engineer development teams.
  • Manage and coordinate vendors and services for all internal and external Open Doors software and communication systems and information technology.
  • Complete quarterly market studies for emerging technology to integrate and enhance Open Doors operations, systems management, partner management, product management, communications, financial operations, personnel management, and all other essential business systems.

Manage/Supervise:               Data Coordinator, interns, volunteers, contract employees (as assigned by Executive Director)

  • Salesforce system development and administration.
  • Familiarity with React.js and other modern programming languages.
  • Strong program and project management skills with design/engineering talent.
  • Defining product roadmaps for a complex set of features.
  • Working alongside various stakeholders to define critical requirements and identify opportunities for feature development.
  • Measuring and reporting on product performance, usage, and uptake.
  • Working alongside a multi-engineer team to describe outcomes and workstreams to achieve system wide improvements.
  • Mastered communication to all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to data administrators.
  • Mastered project management and organization of competing work streams.
  • Information Technology systems management
